Building Operations
Facilities Building Operations is responsible for maintenance, custodial, and energy services across the University. The department includes Mechanical Services, Structural Services, Service Response Center, and Custodial Operations. These units work collaboratively to maintain clean, functional, and efficient campus facilities that support the University’s operations.
- Mechanical Services is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and alteration of the University’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems. The unit also oversees energy management, vehicle fleet maintenance and repair, as well as lock and access control systems. Night and weekend maintenance services are also provided.
- Structural Services provides quality repair and maintenance services to support the needs of the University. The department provides carpentry, graphics design and painting services.
- The Service Response Center (SRC) manages all requests for repairs assigned to Facilities Services. The SRC provides information on the current status of requests once a work order number is issued to the requester. When the work is completed, the SRC sends the requester a completion notification.
- Custodial Operations ensures clean, safe, and welcoming campus environments through daily service to academic, administrative, and support facilities. The team also provides event setup support, scheduled floor and furniture care, pest control, and green cleaning practices.
