the work zone and barricaded section of sidewalk that the work will be done in.

As part of scheduled maintenance under Project MCC-21007K: Backflow Preventer Replacement, contractors and Georgia Southern Facilities Operations will be performing critical repairs on the water meter and HVAC (cooling tower) systems serving the Memorial College Center (MCC) and Student Union on the Armstrong Campus.

Outage Details:

  • Start Date/Time: Monday, May 12, 2025, at 7:00 a.m.
  • Estimated Duration: Two days (May 12–13)
  • Affected Buildings: Memorial College Center (MCC) and Student Union
  • Impact: Water and air conditioning will be unavailable in both buildings during the work period.

Additionally, a portion of the sidewalk along the left side of the MCC will be closed while work is in progress. Please see the attached map for details on the closure area.

All work is expected to be completed and full services restored by the end of business on Tuesday, May 13.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these important upgrades. Every effort will be made to minimize disruption to campus operations.
