University Vehicle Fleet
Whether you’re getting ready to attend a conference or transporting equipment for your department, Georgia Southern is happy to provide University fleet or “motorpool” services as a cost-effective travel resource for you. The motorpool consists of 27 well-maintained University vehicles for use by employees. Keep reading to learn how to make your University-related travel more efficient.
Using the Motorpool
Training
All Georgia Southern employees who wish to use the motorpool will need to complete a brief training session to gain access to the motorpool. You can schedule this training by emailing motorpool@georgiasouthern.edu.
Access
Our motorpool is managed through Fleetcommander. You can access this service by clicking the “Motorpool” link in the Other Links tile of your MyGS portal. If you have not completed training, you will not be able to access the service.
Location
Statesboro
On the Statesboro Campus, the motorpool is located at Procurement & Logistical Services on the South Campus (375 Lanier Drive). This is a secure location that requires gate swipe access outside of regular business hours. The motorpool kiosk is located in the vestibule at the main entrance to the building.
Savannah
Coming soon! On the Armstrong Campus, the motorpool will be located in the Science Center parking lot near the University Police Department. The kiosk will be located inside the Police Department Building.
