Summer Faculty Pay Information

The Summer School spreadsheet is used for processing pay for full time and part time faculty teaching summer school courses and grant-funded research assignments. Payments for nonteaching assignments are to be submitted on a regular Personnel Action Form or on the Automated Payroll Form if submitting payments for multiple faculty.

What is a Combo Code?

Formerly known as Payroll Distribution Code, it is a code that represents your chart stream.  The Combo Code identifies the funding source.

If I search for a faculty and no matches are found, how should I proceed?

If you are searching for a faculty, and no matches are found, verify that the person you are searching for is a 10-month or part-time faculty. If they are 10-month or part-time, check with HR to make sure they have been hired. You may need to submit a Hire PA for that person.

New to GS and teaching as Part-time faculty (teaching and non-teaching assignments):

  • Zero ($0) compensation regular PA – this PA is used to capture personnel information
  • Provide Faculty Appointment Paperwork as directed by the Office of the Provost http://academics.georgiasouthern.edu/forms/
  • Deadline to submit PA  4/08/2021.

New to GS fall semester as full-time benefited faculty member and teaching and/or non-teaching assignments summer semester:

  • Zero ($0) comp regular PA as Part-time summer faculty
  • PA remarks section – note that the faculty member will be starting Fall semester, August 1, as benefited faculty
  • Provide Faculty Appointment Paperwork as directed by the Office of the Provost http://academics.georgiasouthern.edu/forms/
  • Deadline to submit PA 4/08/2021

Returning Part-time faculty: (not active during Spring semester)
