Dr. Lindsey Grossman Blom, Wayne Murphy, Dr. Patrick Spurgeon, Martina Veiglova-Mamuti, Danny Warbutton and Nay Young were officially inducted into the Georgia Southern Athletics Hall of Fame during a special luncheon on Oct. 11. In addition, the six-member class of 2014 were introduced and honored at halftime of the Georgia Southern home football game against Idaho at Paulson Stadium. With this year’s inductees, the total number of former coaches, student-athletes, supporters and administrators in the Georgia Southern Athletics Hall of Fame now stands at 140.
“It was an immense honor and privilege to induct this year’s impressive Hall of Fame class,” said Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein. “They should be recognized for their athletic accomplishments but also for the tremendous impact they had on Georgia Southern University through their lives as student-athletes, coaches and supporters.”
