Introduces ‘The Nest’
As Eagle Dining Services prepares for construction of Landrum and renovations
at Lakeside Café, The Nest, an intermediate modular dining facility, is being
erected off of Chandler Road in the parking area between Centennial Place, the
Performing Arts Center and Watson Hall.
Scheduled to open this August, The Nest will feature familiar foods like
southern BBQ, pizza, pasta, salads, fresh wraps and sandwiches. The Nest will
be open Monday – Sunday, however specific hours have yet to be determined.
Eagle Dining officials noted that Landrum and Lakeside Café
will remain open throughout the summer. Once construction begins, Landrum will
be completely demolished and rebuilt while Lakeside will be renovated and
expanded.
“The new facilities will provide more space, great atmosphere and familiar food.
It’s a place students will enjoy dining,” says Michael Murphy, marketing
coordinator of Eagle Dining Services.
The construction is expected to be complete in the fall of 2013.
