Free Coffee for Faculty and Staff Compliments of The University Club
Need a caffeine boost to jump start your day? Faculty and staff members can enjoy free coffee next week by visiting the first floor of the Zach S. Henderson Library in the Centers for Teaching and Technology. Offered by The University Club, the coffee will be available from 8 – 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 – Friday, Jan. 24.“We hope folks will join us for coffee and conversation,” says Ann Hamilton, publicity coordinator for The University Club.
The University Club provides opportunities for current and retired Georgia Southern University faculty members, staff members, administrators and their guests to socialize with each other. All current and retired Georgia Southern University faculty members, staff members and administrators are members. There are no dues. Originated in 1969 as the Singles Club, The University Club was formed by a group of single faculty and townspeople to provide social activities in a casual and informal setting and help them get to know a wider range of people. From this group, the Faculty Club was later created. In 1971, the Faculty Club was chartered. Then in 1990, the Faculty Club was reorganized and renamed The University Club.
