Farmers’ Market On Campus Today
Georgia Southern University’s Center for Sustainability and the University Wellness Program have teamed up with the Statesboro Main Street Farmers' Market to bring the best locally grown and produced food to campus twice a month on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The Farmers’ Market is today, Tuesday, April 22 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Williams Center Plaza, located across from the Biology Building.
"By hosting a farmers' market on campus, we hope to improve the availability of fresh, locally grown food to students, faculty and staff. While healthy for you, it's also great for our local economy as the money you spend stays in our community. Come early to get giveaways," says Michele Martin, University Wellness program director.
Cash, Credit and Debit cards, as well as EBT are acceptable forms of payment.
