Garden of the Coastal Plain Hosts “Ask the Chef!” Lunch and Learn

The Garden of the Coastal Plain at Georgia Southern University will host the last of its 2014 “The Future of Food” Lunch and Learn Series on Thursday, April 24 from Noon – 1 p.m. at the Garden of the Coastal Plain, 1505 Bland Ave., under the Heritage Pavilion. The event titled, “Ask the Chef!” will feature Eagle Dining Services Executive Chef Kevin Case. Case will share his thoughts on local food, healthy eating and delicious dining while demonstrating secrets from the kitchen.  He’ll also answer questions and help participants with their cooking challenges. Guests are encouraged to come prepared with questions to “Ask the Chef,” or cooking questions may be emailed in advance to garden@georgiasouthern.edu. "Chef Kevin has done a great job creating wonderful food for our 2013-2014 Lunch and Learn Series," said Carolyn Altman, director of the Garden of the Coastal Plain. "At this Lunch and Learn, I'm going to steal all his good ideas for my own culinary creations." Paid reservations are required. Tickets are $20, including lunch.
