Office of Student Media Hosts Magazine Release Party for the Campus Community
The Office of Student Media is celebrating the spring 2014 issue of Miscellany, a student arts magazine, with a release party on Wednesday, April 23 at South and Vine Public House, 19 South Main St. You’re invited to the event which takes place beginning at 6 p.m. Miscellany is a literary magazine published by Student Media each semester that features written pieces and artwork created by students, faculty and staff. During the event, art featured in the magazine will be displayed and written pieces will be read aloud. This semester’s featured artist is senior graphic design major Chelsea Brown. Her submission, “Masked Focus,” will be featured on the cover of the magazine. “There is a lot of detail in the mask itself that you wouldn't actually notice in a cursory glance,” Alanna Navin, Miscellany editor, said. “When you look, you can see another world in the eyes.” For more information, contact Alanna Navin, Miscellany editor, by emailing miscellany@georgiasouthern.edu.Posted in My News
