Parking Need-to-Knows

- -CHECK YOUR EMAIL!!! ALL PARKING NOTIFICATIONS AND CITATIONS ARE SENT VIA EMAIL.
- -Permits go on sale every year in April.
- -We only cite when classes are in session.
- -No permit is required at the football stadium. Please do not park in the grass at any location on campus, including the stadium or you will receive a citation.
- -All persons (including visitors) must have a permit to park on any GSU campus (excluding Liberty) unless parking at the football stadium.
- -Handicapped permits must be registered with the parking office in order to receive an access pass.
- -2 tickets in collections will place you on the boot list by the 3rd ticket you are eligible to be booted
- -DO NOT BACK IN OR PULL THRU ANY PARKING SPACES. Your license plate must be visible with the flow of parking.
- -Students with mobility issues must have a letter from SARC (Student Accessibility Resource Center) in order to receive an access pass to park closer.
- -You must appeal tickets through your parking portal on mygeorgiasouthern or use the blue link on the ticket that was sent to your email. We will not accept appeals through email, by phone or in office. You have 7 days after issuance to appeal your ticket, otherwise it will be sent to collections.
- -There are AMP spaces in lots 21,13,41,32,42, engineering building, ERB building and sweetheart circle. THE ENTIRE LOT IS NOT FOR AMP USERS. The AMP parking spaces, in the lot, are for AMP permit users. WE NO LONGER OFFER THE 30 MINUTE FREE OPTION, YOU MUST PAY WHEN YOU PARK.
- -AMP is LOT SPECIFIC if you choose lot 41 you must park in the AMP spaces in lot 41.
- -If you are not a full time employee of GSU and you are enrolled in classes, you are a student and must purchase a commuter or residential pass, unless noted otherwise.
- -Residents must purchase a permit to park where they live. Residents and Commuters can park in AMP spaces with an AMP permit and other COMMUTER lots after 4pm otherwise they must park in their residential lot.
- -The permit holder of the vehicle will receive the citation whether they are the driver or not.
- -All unpaid citations must be paid before purchasing a permit.
- -Residential and Commuter lots are $130/year for both campuses.
- There are no longer any reduced lots.
- -You must park in the zone you paid for ie. Zone 1 allows you to park in lot 12, 11,13,21 and the RAC. After 4 pm you can park in other commuter lots.
- –All GSU permit holders can park at the RAC, lot 12 and the football stadium.
- -Armstrong permits holders can park in any zone on the Statesboro campus and your designated lot on the Armstrong campus. Statesboro permit holders can park in any commuter lot on the Armstrong campus and your designated zone on the Statesboro campus.
- -Permits issued at half price are for graduating seniors but you must submit your graduation certification letter.
- -Library parking begins at 5:30 pm.
