Visitor Permits

Visitors may obtain a permit online through the button below or in person from the Parking & Transportation Office, located on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses:

Visitor permits are $2.00/day. A permit is not required for visitors who arrive on campus after 4:00pm Friday and leave before 7:30am Monday.

Departments can request a departmental guest pass by contacting Parking and Transportation at 912-478-7275 or by emailing parking@georgiasouthern.edu.

Please have the email address of your visitor handy. The visitor will receive an email invitation to claim their parking permit. After completing this process, they will be issued an electronic pass and their license plate will serve as their pass.

Faculty, staff and students are not allowed to park in visitor spaces Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Download the AMP Parking app on the Apple Store or Google Play to park in AMP spaces. There are AMP signs in the designated lots with QR codes you may scan to download this app also at these.

Rules are listed below:

  • AMP is available Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm unless noted otherwise.
  • Download the AMP app, register your vehicle then follow the prompts.
  • Make sure your vehicle is registered every time you park in an AMP space. Please double check your license plate to make sure you’ve entered your plate in the app correctly or you will receive a citation.
  • Our LPR cars do not read the Letter “O” or the Number “1”. Please use the Number Zero “0” and the Letter “I” in their place.
  • When using AMP you must park in AMP spaces, the entire lot is not dedicated to AMP parking. Your vehicle must be facing the front of the AMP sign to where you can clearly read the AMP sign. Parking behind an AMP sign with an AMP permit is a violation.
  • You must have a permit within 10 minutes of parking or you will be in violation.
  • Each hour costs $1, with a max of 4 hours in one day, per lot.
  • You can only purchase one AMP permit per lot per day. If you park in AMP Sweetheart one day, you cannot park in AMP Sweetheart again until the next day or you can go to a different AMP lot.
  • The QR codes on the AMP signs located in the assigned parking areas may be scanned to access an AMP permit.
  • Students, faculty, and staff who do not have a current permit may purchase a day pass. $2.00/day for students and $1.00/day for faculty and staff.
