Applied Music in the Music Industry Program
All students in the BA Music Industry take two semesters of Group Piano and four semesters of private lessons. [You can take more if you want!]
BA Music Industry students are encouraged to take lessons in multiple applied areas; doing so will give you a broad set of experiences that will help you navigate the music industry. But you can also choose to take all four semesters on one instrument; that’s for you to decide.
Applied lessons are offered on the Armstrong Campus in:
Voice, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Percussion, Piano, and Composition
Of the four required applied music semesters, two can be in composition.
If you want to take applied music lessons on other instruments, you may be required to travel to the Statesboro Campus once a week for your lessons.
