About Dr. Veronee

Kenna Veronee is an Assistant Professor and the Music Education Program Coordinator at Georgia Southern University.  Her primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate music education courses, supervising student teachers, and coordinating the administration of the music education program.  Prior to her appointment at Georgia Southern, Dr. Veronee was an Associate Professor and Music Education Program Coordinator at the University of Louisiana Monroe.  While there she taught undergraduate and graduate music education courses, supervised student teachers, supervised graduate research projects, served as the Music Education Academic Advisor, and held the position of Graduate Music Program Coordinator.  Dr. Veronee also previously served as the Director of Bands and Orchestra at Bayside High School in Palm Bay, Florida.

Dr. Veronee has presented clinics for preservice and inservice teachers at the Florida Music Educators Association and Louisiana Music Educators Association annual conferences and guest lectured at numerous colleges and universities.  Her research has been published in the Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education, the Journal of Band Research, and Research Perspectives in Music Education and presented at numerous regional, national, and international conferences including the National Association for Music Education National Conference, the Desert Skies Symposium on Research in Music Learning and Teaching, the International Society for Music Education Commission on Special Music Education & Music Therapy, and the Clifford K. Madsen International Symposium for Research in Music Behavior.Dr. Veronee received her Ph.D. in Music Education, Master of Music Education, and Bachelor of Music Education from Florida State University.
