Computer Science Education for Teachers Endorsement (Online)

The New Graduate Computer Science Education Endorsement for Teachers program, beginning summer 2023, provides certification for in-service teachers to teach computer science in grades P-12. This fully online program offers three online courses (9 credit hours) that center around the standards adapted from the Standards for Computer Science Educators published in 2011 by the International Society for Technology Education (ISTE) and the Computer Science Teachers Association Interim Standards published in 2016, and are directly adopted to be the program learning outcomes. Our coursework will introduce you to important topics in computer science and computer programming, and help you develop your instructional design skills creating and developing course materials to teach these concepts in your classroom. You’ll also have the opportunity to network with other teachers and education professionals, gaining valuable insights and connections that can help advance your career.
