Georgia Southern is proud to welcome Medical College of Georgia to our Armstrong Campus in Savannah, GA. The checklist below will walk you through gaining access to the portfolio of Georgia Southern services that you have access to.
Step 1: Retrieve Your Eagle ID Number
Your unique Eagle ID number helps you gain access to services and facilities at Georgia Southern. To retrieve your Eagle ID number, navigate to the MCG Eagle ID lookup and enter the required information.
Step 2: Your MyGeorgiaSouthern Portal
Your MCG – MyGS Portal is your gateway to all things Georgia Southern. After activating your portal, you can upload your photo for your Eagle ID card, access on-campus WiFi, and much more. Follow the steps below to activate your MyGS portal today.
Note: Make sure your smartphone is handy when you begin this process.
- Navigate to the MCG – MyGS Portal located at My.GeorgiaSouthern.edu/MCG and click “First Time User”
- Enter the required information
- Create a password for your account
- Follow the prompts to enroll in Duo Mobile
- Log into the MCG – MyGS portal
Step 3: Upload Your Photo for Your Eagle ID Card
As an MCG at Georgia Southern student, you’re eligible for both a Eagle Card Mobile ID and a physical Eagle ID Card. These cards help you gain access to facilities and events at Georgia Southern. Follow the steps below to submit your photo online or submit it using the eAccounts app, which you’ll use to download your Eagle Card Mobile ID.
- Click the “eAccounts” link in your MCG – MyGS portal
- Click the “Profile” link
- Under “Personal Information,” click the “Submit New Photo” link
- Submit your photo, followed by a photo of your ID
- Click the “Submit & Sign Out” button to complete submission
You’ll pick up your physical Eagle ID Card at the TechHub in Armstrong Center during orientation. Don’t forget to bring your government-issued photo ID with you. Step 4: Download Your Eagle Card Mobile ID
While you will need to pick up your physical Eagle ID Card in order to access some secure locations on campus, you’re also eligible for an Eagle Card Mobile ID, which you can use to access campus buildings, make purchases using EagleXpress, and more. Follow the steps below to download your Eagle Card Mobile ID.
- Download the Transact eAccounts app and select Georgia Southern as your institution
- Log in with your MCG – MyGS credentials
- If you haven’t already, submit your photo and government ID
- Add your new Eagle Card Mobile ID to your wallet
Note: Your online photo submission must be completed prior to downloading the Mobile ID. If your photo submission is not approved, this may delay downloading your mobile ID.

Step 5: Purchase a Parking Permit
Parking permits are available to purchase through your MCG – MyGS portal. To purchase your permit, click on the “Parking Permits & Citations” link in your portal. You can select the 24-25 permit that applies to you. To view maps and parking locations, click the “Parking Website” link, also in your portal.

Step 6: Choose University Housing
Special: We’re currently waiving the $150 housing application fee for MCG Savannah students!
University Crossings, our most spacious apartment-style residential community specifically designed for graduate students is located just steps from the College of Health Professions. Follow the steps below to complete your application today.
- Click the “On-Campus Housing Portal” link in your MCG – MyGS portal
- Click the Spring – Armstrong Application link
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select “Spring 2025 Only – AUG” and complete your application

Step 7: Select a Meal Plan or EagleXpress Package
Eagle Dining Services offers a variety of dining options for students, faculty, and staff. Dining plans may be purchased at the TechHub, located in the Armstrong Center. EagleXpress packages are also available. Click the link below to view rates, packages, and location information.

Campus Recreation
Use the “CRI Waiver” link in your portal to complete your waiver in order to utilize the Armstrong Recreation Center.
Connect to WiFi
Use your MCG – MyGS credentials to connect to GS Campus, our campus WiFi network.

Print from your laptop, phone, or one of our campus labs from anywhere, for free!
