Governor’s Honors Program at Georgia Southern University

Georgia Southern University is proud to host the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) for the Summer 2025 session. Keep reading to learn more about resources available for program participants.

Note: Accounts should be activated and photos submitted by May 23, 2025.

GHP Eagle ID Number

The GHP Eagle ID number gives GHP participants access to services on campus and is required to activate the MyGS/GHP Account. In addition to receiving the GHP Eagle ID number via email, GHP participants can retrieve their number by clicking the button below.

Your MyGeorgiaSouthern/GHP Account

The MyGS/GHP Account gives GHP participants access to many resources on campus, including the library, computer labs, and dining areas. Follow the steps below or view/download our detailed instructions below to activate your account:

Note: Be sure to have your smart phone available during account creation. If you do not have a smart phone, please contact MyTechSupport by calling 912-478-2287 or emailing Helpdesk@GeorgiaSouthern.edu (Hours 8-5, M-F).

• Navigate to https://my.georgiasouthern.edu/ghp/
• Click on the “First Time User” link and complete the required fields
• Create a password that meets the requirements outlined on the page
• Login to the account with your new username and password
• Follow the prompts to enroll in Duo with your smart phone

Note: If you are prompted to sign into services using an email address, enter your username followed by “@georgiasouthern.edu.”

GHP ID Card

GHP ID cards help to easily identify students as GHP participants. Follow the steps below or view/download our detailed instructions to submit your photo online for your ID card:

Note: Photos must be submitted by Friday, May 23, 2025, in order for participants to receive their GHP ID cards during check-in.

1. In your MyGS/GHP portal, click on the “Access eAccounts Portal” button
2. Click the Profile link
3. Under “Personal Information,” click the “Submit New Photo” link
4. Submit your photo (when prompted to submit your ID, just submit the same photo again)
5. Click the “Submit & Sign Out” button to complete submission
