Through Parker-PEP, we partner with business and civic leaders to provide high-impact, experiential learning in three key areas:
- Career and Professional Development: Crafting a personalized career development plan and cultivating a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Self-Care: Maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
- Community Service: Finding meaningful ways to give back to your community.
Unlike other programs, Parker-PEP activities are seamlessly integrated into your regular class schedule, so you won’t need to sacrifice more of your personal time. Guest speakers, workshops, and hands-on experiences are woven throughout the four-semester MBA journey, ensuring you can take full advantage of these value-added opportunities without disruption.

A Foundation of Excellence
The Parker Professional MBA is grounded in four core principles: ethics, integrity, honesty, and professionalism. These cornerstones are embedded in every aspect of our program, from the curriculum to our enrichment activities. Each course objective connects back to these values, ensuring that your education is not only rigorous but also aligned with the highest standards of business ethics.
Competency Framework
The Parker Professional MBA Program in Savannah has three components: foundation, curriculum and extracurricular activity program. The four cornerstones of our program are ethics, integrity, honesty and professionalism. That’s our foundation. An example of how that impacts our curriculum is that every required course has one or more course objectives that focus on at least one of those cornerstones. The curriculum is built on a four skill set competency framework whose goal is to strengthen your competencies in four key skill sets: digital and analytical skills, business skills and environmental awareness, leadership skills and people skills.
Digital &
Analytical Skills
Master the use of technology, data analysis, and problem-solving to make informed, strategic decisions.
Business & Environmental Awareness
Gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations while considering the broader market and environmental factors that impact organizational success.
People Skills
Develop the communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills needed to lead effectively and foster cross-functional partnerships.

Savannah Program FAQ
What is the tuition for the Georgia Southern Savannah MBA and Ft. Stewart MBA program options? Is it different for out-of-state students?
Tuition, fees, and other costs (orientation fee) can be found here.
Do the Savannah and Ft. Stewart MBA programs require prerequisite courses?
We do not require students to complete prerequisite courses. However, after students are admitted to the program and formally commit to enrolling, they will receive access to a complimentary tool called MBA Math that will help prepare them for the academic rigors of the program. MBA Math has lessons in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, and spreadsheets.
Can I transfer graduate course credits into the program?
Yes, but no more than six credit hours may be transferred with prior approval. The MBA Office determines whether specific courses are eligible to be transferred. Credit will be accepted before you enter the program. Only courses from AACSB-accredited schools will be considered. Courses must match our curriculum.
Will the Georgia HOPE Scholarship, Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), GI Bill®, or other financial aid cover tuition costs?
The Hope Scholarship is for undergraduate students. The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) for University System of Georgia employees is available and the GI Bill® may apply to students with military experience (Check with the Military Resource Center). All applicants should check with the Georgia Southern Financial Aid office for information about assistance.

How and when do I register for my classes?
The MBA Office registers all students for their classes each semester. First semester registration typically occurs 1-2 weeks prior to Orientation. Prior to Orientation, students will meet with an advisor to discuss their program of study. Once this advising appointment is completed, students will be registered for their first semester classes. Advising appointments will not be scheduled until the beginning of July. The most common problem is registration holds. We cannot register you if you have any type of hold on your account. Examples include holds because of missing transcripts, outstanding financial obligations, parking fines, and judicial affairs holds.
What is the time commitment each week?
The time needed varies by course. A general rule of thumb is that for every hour spent in class, you should spend 2-3 hours of study outside of class. Based on this rule of thumb, a 3-semester hour course would require 6-9 hours of preparation (reading the assigned material, studying, and completing assignments, etc.).
Are classes face-to-face, hybrid, or online?
Students complete three courses each fall and spring: one fully online course and two hybrid courses. The hybrid courses are taught in eight-week minimesters, meeting every other week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Students take one fully online course in the summer. Paker PEP extracurricular activity programs (typically four programs each fall and spring semester) are mandatory and are scheduled on a Tuesday or Thursday evening during weeks that classes do not meet.
Who should I contact if I have questions?
It depends. Any questions related to your course should first be addressed to your professor. If you are unable to resolve the issue at that level, please contact the MBA Director. Any questions related to the application process should be directed to the MBA Recruiter. Questions related to the activities and events included in our extracurricular activity program, Parker-PEP, Orientation, or academic standing should be directed to the MBA Program Coordinator. Questions related to registration, drop-add or withdrawing from a class should be directed to the Parker Graduate Programs office administrative assistant. You can reach all these individuals via email (mba@georgiasouthern.edu) or telephone (912-478-5767).
What is Parker-PEP and how does it work?
The Parker MBA Professional Enrichment Plan, Parker-PEP, for short, is the name of our extracurricular activity program, which consists of workshops, seminars, guest speakers, and community service activities that support your wellbeing, your career and professional development, and your community. The programs (typically two per minimester in the fall and spring semesters) are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays during weeks that hybrid classes do not meet. Participation is mandatory and represents a specified percentage of your overall course grade in your fall and spring classes.
