Alumni Spotlight: Dana Krinsky

After graduation, Dana Krinsky (MKTG, 2018) began a career in a sales support role in the promotional products and experiential marketing industry. She eventually worked her way up to account manager with her own sales pipeline and opportunities to grow the business. Four years later, Dana decided to pursue a legal career and enrolled in law school. Although she has no regrets about her career change, Dana admits it was a challenge to completely start over. She overcame this challenge by understanding the value of networking and leveraging the network she had already built to help in furthering her goals to advance in her new profession.
While pursuing her law degree, Dana worked as a legal intern for the Brooklyn Nets and New York Yankees. Being exposed to transactions of that caliber and learning from each of their incredible legal teams was a great privilege and an invaluable experience. This past May, Dana achieved her proudest achievement to date when she received her JD from Syracuse University College of Law. Once she sits the bar exam, she will begin a career as a transactional lawyer. This career will allow Dana to play a part in facilitating transactions while working with incredibly smart and talented people, whom I am fortunate to learn from. She is looking forward to her new role as she greatly enjoyed that part of her internship experience.
Dana credits Parker College with preparing her career through its emphasis on practical learning methods and robust curriculum, both of which taught her skills she applies daily. She recalls participating in various marketing and sales events hosted by Parker College and the Department of Marketing during her tenure at Georgia Southern. Her favorite classes were Linda Mullen’s, Ph.D., retired associate professor marketing, sales course and Jin-Woo Kim’s, Ph.D., associate professor of marketing, advertising class. Dana says she remains in contact with both professors and that the support they have provided during her career has been instrumental.
Now that she’s once again “done” with school, Dana hopes to eventually find a position in the corporate transaction area of a large law firm in New York City. In the meantime, she has reconnected with Parker College by joining the Young Alumni Board. In her spare time, Dana enjoys playing tennis, working out at the gym, and travelling with friends and family.
