Young Alumni Board

A Metter, GA native, residing in Richmond Hill, GA, Emily’s job responsibilities include guiding the Member Services, Finance, and Accounting functions of a not-for-profit, member owned electric utility. She is a Certified Public Accountant and gained experience auditing with McNair, McLemore, Middlebrooks, & Co. prior to joining Coastal. In 2018, Cannon completed the Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program, an intensive program in electric utility management that focuses on member value as part of co-op leaders’ day-to-day decision making. 

While at Georgia Southern, Emily served in Kappa Kappa Gamma, Gamma Beta Phi, Golden Key International Honor Society, and Beta Alpha Psi. She also earned various scholarships and awards.

Cannon serves as a past Treasurer and current Trustee for the Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma’s House Corporation and Chair for Richmond Hill Bryan County Chamber of Commerce. In her free time, she enjoys being active and spending time outdoors with her husband, Ronny, and their dog, Tucker.

Jessica Clemmer-Farris graduated from the Parker College of Business with BBAs in Management and Finance in May 2012. In November 2012, she started her own senior care business to take care of her grandmother, who suffered from dementia. Jessica decided to continue her education by attending Georgia Southern for an MBA with a concentration in International Business in 2014 and graduated in 2016. During her MBA, she was a graduate assistant for the marketing department assisting multiple professors with classes and research.

After graduation, Jessica joined Deutsche Bank as part of their agile/intern program in Finance and was offered a full-time position once the program completed. During the last seven years, she has been part of multiple teams in Finance with the latest being the Liquidity Treasury Reporting & Analysis team. Her main responsibilities include daily reporting of the FR2052a Liquidity Report to the Federal Reserve and calculating the Liquidity Coverage Ratio. In March 2023, Jessica was promoted to Assistant Vice President.

Jessica is living in Jacksonville, FL with her husband, Joseph (also a GSU grad), and their two cats, Duski and Orion. She enjoys baking with a focus around Irish delights with the hopes of eventually opening her own bakery.

Tyler Collins is an investment banking analyst with Truist Securities, working within the Financial Risk Management Capital Markets team. He is based out of the Atlanta office and is originally from Statesboro, GA.

Tyler graduated with a BBA in Finance with a Minor in Information Systems in December 2020. While at Georgia Southern, he was involved in Greek life, and is a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, which he represented as the VP of Financial Affairs on the IFC Exec board. Tyler was also a part of the University Honors College in which he completed a research thesis that has been read in over 60 countries. Within the Parker College, Tyler was a member of the inaugural class of Parker Business Scholars as well as the VP of investment strategy within the Southern Investment Association.

Outside of work, Tyler spends a significant amount of time with his church, where he leads a young professional community group each week and volunteers wherever able. He also is an avid golfer and sports fan, attending as many Atlanta Braves games and Georgia Southern football games as possible.

Trent Doty is a Senior Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors in Savannah, GA.

Following graduation in 2013, Trent started his professional career with Saddle Creek Logistics Services in Atlanta, GA where he spent three and a half years in the logistics industry. Trent then decided to make a career change and became a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Atlanta, GA, where he began building his practice. After a couple years with Edward Jones, Trent joined Wells Fargo Advisors in the Statesboro/Savannah area.

Trent is a Statesboro, GA native and graduated with a BBA in Logistics in December 2013. During his time at Georgia Southern, Trent was involved with many different student organizations including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, GATA Club, and he was a member of the men’s soccer team. Trent loves spending time with his wife, Fowler, and their dog, Gus, in their home in Savannah, GA. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, pickleball, and woodworking.

Chris earned his undergraduate degrees (08) in Business Administration (BBA) and Fine Arts (BFA) with a concentration in Marketing Management and Graphic Design respectively, from the Georgia Southern University. He later earned a Master’s in Policy and Public Administration from Northwestern University in Chicago. 

He has over a decade of procurement experience and civil service, beginning his career with the US Army Mission Installation Contracting Command and serving in the USDA Forest Service before coming to EPA. My favorite part of what I do is problem solving. Each acquisition is like a puzzle; and the puzzle pieces are the interdisciplinary skills needed to complete the project. As a Contracting Officer I manage a team consisting of the contractor, engineers, budget officer, technical expert, and other subject matter experts on each project. I get to be a project manager, mediator, facilitator, and business advisor all in one.

Chris currently serves on the Georgia Southern University Network of Black Alumni Board of Directors as the Mentoring and Networking Chairman. He is also a proud member of the Lawrenceville Duluth Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and a small group leader with his local church.  Chris was recognized as a member of the Georgia Southern University Class of 2021 40 under 40 Award and the Atlanta Federal Executive Board Leadership Government 2020 cohort. 

In his spare-time, he enjoys watching movies and playing with his three kids Aiden (11), Alyssa (8), and baby Carter. Chris and his wife Camille are big fans of comic books, cartoons, and attend the San-Diego Comic Con every year.

Henry Fumbah graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2016 with a BBA in Accounting and a minor in Finance. While attending Georgia Southern as a Zell Miller Scholar, Henry was a Southern Ambassador, held various roles with Campus Recreation & Intramurals (CRI), a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity and the African Student Association. Henry later went on to earn his MBA at Emory University. 

Henry is currently an Associate at ScottMadden Management Consultants where he is based out of the firm’s Atlanta office. Prior to his current role, Henry spent 1.5 years in the investment accounting field and 6 years in the corporate finance industry.

Outside of work, Henry enjoys being active, participating in many intramural sports year-round. Henry also loves spending time with his friends and family and eating a lot, often trying new restaurants. Henry has a fascination with aviation and plan on getting a Private Pilot License one day.

Jordan currently works at The Coca-Cola Company, leading North America Pricing and Packaging Strategy for key brands such as Sprite, Fanta, and Fresca. She has been with The Company for the past 5 years touching multiple facets of the business inclusive of Strategy, Data Analytics, and Revenue Growth Management.

She graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2018 with a BBA in Marketing and a minor in psychology. During her time at GSU, she was a member of the University Honors College, Kapa Delta Sorority, and Pi Kappa Phi Honors Fraternity. She also spent time working at Gnat’s Landing, where she met her husband, Mason. Jordan and Mason live in Smyrna, GA with their two French bulldogs- Don Julio Jones and Lily Bean.

Josh Hegland graduated from the Parker College of Business with a BBA in Finance in 2018. During his time at Georgia Southern, Josh was involved in numerous student organizations, including the Southern Investment Association, Sigma Chi Fraternity, and Interfraternity Council.

Josh is currently an Associate Advisor with Cahaba Wealth Management in Atlanta. He completed the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business CFP® Certificate Education Program, and is a Certified Financial Planner™. He serves as an alumni mentor for the Southern Investment Association and is involved with The Shepherd Center Junior Committee and Atlanta Westside Presbyterian Church. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and exercising. Josh and his wife, Callie, live in Atlanta, GA.

Walker Pratt Hill IV is a Partner/Producer at Lee, Hill and Johnston Insurors in Statesboro, Georgia. 

Born and raised in Statesboro, Walker graduated with a BBA in Finance from Georgia Southern University in 2015 and began his insurance career with Owen’s Insurance Company in Greer, South Carolina.  A desire to return to his hometown brought him back to Statesboro where he would join his father’s insurance agency and become a partner in 2022.

Walker has held held several key leadership roles in Young Life as well as Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Outside of work, Walker loves spending time with his girlfriend and family, especially his nieces and nephew.  He is an avid golfer, loves to fish and hunt and never misses a Georgia Southern home game.

Taylor Hinson graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BBA in Accounting (Magna Cum Laude) in 2013 and a Masters in Accounting in 2015 (Outstanding Graduate Award of School of Accountancy). While at Georgia Southern, Taylor was a graduate assistant, accounting tutor, and involved in organizations such as Beta Alpha Psi.

Taylor is a Senior Accountant/CPA at Schell & Hogan, LLP on St. Simons Island. Taylor’s experience is largely in financial statement audits and other attest work with clients in various industries. He is also a part of the Client Advisory Services (CAS) team and is passionate to help clients reach their goals and better understand their financial data. He started his career at Warren Averett in Atlanta and has also had a DJ business on the side since being a teenager and has done many weddings and other events over the years. He also serves on the Leadership Council for the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Taylor is married to his wife, Allie, who is also a Double Eagle. They live in Brunswick, GA with their two daughters (Rylee and Maddie) and two dogs (Cooper and Gus). In his free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending and following Georgia Southern athletic events and Atlanta Braves Baseball, spending time outdoors, music, travelling, pickleball and grilling.

Jacqueline Jedlicka is an audit senior at Symphona LLP, in their Dublin, GA office and specializes in community financial institutions. She is originally from Anchorage, AK and currently resides in Vidalia, GA.

Jacqueline graduated with a BBA in Accounting and Management in Spring 2019, while completing an internship at Symphona (formerly TJS Deemer Dana LLP) with the financial institution department. While at Georgia Southern, Jacqueline was involved in Beta Alpha Psi, Accounting Association, Society of Human Resource Management, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the National Honor Society for Leadership and Success. She also served as the Accounting Association’s VP of Service and Beta Alpha Psi’s Reporting Secretary. 

After graduation, Jacqueline accepted a full-time audit staff position with the financial institution department at McNair, McLemore, and Middlebrooks, where she spent one year before returning to Symphona. During this time she completed the exams and coursework required to become a Certified Public Accountant, and was licensed in November 2020. 

Outside of Jacqueline’s professional endeavors, she enjoys baking, crafting, running, and traveling for live music. 

Dana currently attends Syracuse University College of Law. She will graduate this upcoming May in 2025 and plans on pursuing a career practicing Corporate Transactional Law. She serves as Lead Articles Editor for the Syracuse Journal of International Law & Commerce, President of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society, and Vice President of the Corporate Law Society. Her professional journey includes legal internships with the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Nets, where she gained experience in contract law, mergers and acquisitions, sponsorships, compliance, and corporate law. Before law school, Dana worked in Sales for a global branded merchandising agency called BDA, Inc. She led the marketing efforts for various brand launches and corporate sponsorships with major league sports teams.

She graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University in 2018 with dual degrees in Sports Marketing & Sales and Sales Management. During her time at Georgia Southern, she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and Pi Kappa Phi Honors Fraternity. Dana’s interests include music, tennis, cooking, travel, and sports. She currently resides in Syracuse, NY, and will be moving to New York City upon taking the Bar Exam in July.

Brit Lanier graduated from Georgia Southern in 2011 with a BBA in accounting and 2012 from the MAcc program with a concentration in forensic accounting. During his time on campus, Brit was involved in numerous student organizations, including Southern Ambassadors, Greek Life, and Habitat for Humanity. 

Brit began his career at EY in Houston focusing on public upstream oil & gas companies. He then transitioned into equity research at a boutique investment firm covering the energy sector. After a few years in Houston, Brit moved back to Atlanta and began working in the Strategy & Transactions group at EY before moving to his current role at Alvarez & Marsal, where he sits on the Energy & Infrastructure Transaction Advisory team. During his spare time, Brit enjoys playing golf, going to Braves games, and cheering on the Eagle football team. 

Tim Lavoie graduated Cum Laude from Georgia Southern in 2011 with a BBA in logistics and a minor in marketing. While attending GS, Tim was a member of the President’s list, Dean’s List, was a HOPE scholar, recipient of the 2010 Atlanta Transportation Club Scholarship, a member of Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society, Golden Key national honor society, Phi Eta Sigma national honor society, a founding member of the GS Student Eagle Club and spent three years in the Southern Pride Marching Band. Tim was also the Vice-President of the Georgia Southern Logistics Association (GSLA) and developed the annual Logistics Roundtable event bringing in potential employers to meet with current logistics students.

Tim currently works as director of strategic accounts at C.H. Robinson, a Fortune 500 supply chain company. Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter around Roswell where they live. He also enjoys traveling to GS football games in Statesboro and on the road as well as playing golf. Tim has previously been a member of the Young Supporters Board of the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta.

Johnathan L. Manning is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of 88 Technologies, a hedge fund specializing in futures and commodities. In this capacity, he is responsible for formulating and implementing comprehensive investment strategies and overseeing risk management. Johnathan strongly believes in providing access to sound portfolio management and delivering exceptional investment returns to investors from all financial backgrounds. Prior to establishing 88 Technologies, he gained valuable experience working in finance, program management, and procurement roles at Gulfstream Aerospace.

Johnathan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgia Southern University. He also holds the Series 3 License, issued by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA).

Aside from his professional pursuits, Johnathan is deeply committed to philanthropic endeavors, particularly those centered around financial education, alleviating poverty, combating hunger, and addressing homelessness. In his leisure time, he enjoys running, traveling, and indulging in his lifelong passion for music. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and currently resides in Savannah, Georgia, with his beloved wife, Jasmine (his high school sweetheart), and their son, Hayden.

Reid Maynard graduated from Georgia Southern in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. He is currently the Director of Business Development at Aperture Hotels, leveraging knowledge from more than 12 years in the hospitality industry and over 7 years of real estate experience. Before joining Aperture Hotels, Reid worked to acquire 80+ single-family rental properties worth more than $25 million on behalf of esteemed institutional investors. His previous experience also includes commercial real estate brokerage for a boutique firm focused on retail and office assets, where he played a vital role in sourcing, analyzing, and closing over 75 transactions, amounting to a total volume of more than $250 million.

Reid started his hospitality career at Darden Restaurants, dedicating 7 years to building foundational knowledge and skills before utilizing his expertise to provide value working within independent food and beverage establishments.

Reid is currently a member of the Student Support Committee of the Parker College of Business Young Alumni Board and serves as Chairman of the Alumni Advisory Board for the Iota Upsilon Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, a 501(c)(7) nonprofit organization.

Katherine Miller graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BBA in Marketing and an emphasis in Sales & Sales Management in 2018. She later went on to complete her MBA at Florida State University in 2022. During her time on campus, Katherine was a proud member of the Georgia Southern University Equestrian Team, Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority, actively volunteered with Alternative Breaks through the Office of Leadership and Community Engagement and served as a member of the Alternative Breaks Board.

Currently, Katherine works as the Event Manager for Sovos in Atlanta, GA. She plans internal and external conferences, virtual and in-person trade shows and incentive trips across the United States and internationally while collaborating with leaders across Latin America, Europe and Turkey on event strategy. 

Katherine is very passionate about giving back to her local community and volunteers with the Shepherd Center Junior Committee. In her free time, you can find Katherine horseback riding, attending Atlanta sporting events, traveling and spending time with her golden retriever. 

Meghan Murray graduated with a BBA in Information Systems with an emphasis on E-Commerce in 2008.  Since that time she has gained valuable knowledge working for technology companies relating to radio, news media, mobile and web applications, digital advertising, and higher education accreditation software.

Meghan is currently the Consultative Business Analyst for the Firco Insight product at LexisNexis Risk, which provides Tier 1 Banks with advanced filtering intelligence and risk scoring for optimal account screening. She enjoys spending time with family including her husband (Tim) and son (Nathan), playing video games, and cooking.

Tate Robinson graduated from Georgia Southern’s Parker College of Business in December 2019 with a dual major BBA in Marketing and Logistics/Intermodal Transportation.  During his time at Georgia Southern, Tate was a Hope Scholar, earned scholarships from IANA (Intermodal Association of North America), STC (Savannah Traffic Club), and Nordson Corporation.  Tate was also a part the team that received 1^st place at the 2019 IANA Case Study Competition. Tate is currently pursuing his MBA through Georgia Southern and plans to graduate in May 2025.  

In his professional career, Tate has worked in the logistics field where he oversaw the local and Port of Savannah operations for a 3PL.  He has also worked in manufacturing as a Continuous Improvement Coordinator, Planner, and Buyer. He is currently the Supply Chain Manager for Great Dane.  Tate works in their Statesboro, GA manufacturing facility that specializes in refrigerated trailers. In his spare time, Tate enjoys spending time with his wife (Mackenzie) and daughter (Whitleigh).  Together, they enjoy taking part in various outdoor activities. 

Hannah Schmidt, a native of Gwinnett County, GA, graduated from the Parker College of Business with a
BBA in Supply Chain Management in 2020 and an MBA in 2023. During her time at Georgia Southern
University, Hannah was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, where she served as Recording Secretary.
Hannah also worked as a Student Athlete Tutor and participated in the College Co-Op Program at
Gulfstream Aerospace.

Currently, Hannah works as a Master Production Scheduler at Gulfstream Aerospace. She started at
Gulfstream Aerospace in 2018 as a College Co-Op within the Operations Material, Logistics, and Control
group where she rotated through different positions within the company. After graduation in 2020, she
started as a Materials Planner at Gulfstream Aerospace and has served various roles within the
organization. She serves as the Steering Team Lead for the Operations Material, Logistics, and Control group on a volunteer basis where she is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and mentoring College Co-
Op’s. Hannah is also a member of the Women’s Employee Resource Group and the New Employee Support Team at Gulfstream Aerospace.

Hannah is currently living in Savannah, GA. In her free time, Hannah enjoys cheering on the Georgia
Southern Eagles, traveling, and spending time with her family & friends.

Robert is currently the Manager of Project Integration for New Stores at The Home Depot. In his role, Robert owns the planning, strategy and execution of new stores across the United States, as well as execution support when stores are impacted by natural disasters. Robert has worked at The Home Depot for the past 7 years, holding roles of increased responsibility across the Transportation, Supply Chain Development and Merchandising organizations.

Robert graduated Georgia Southern in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation, with a minor in Marketing. Robert currently lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Megan (A fellow Eagle) and his daughter. In his spare time Robert enjoys cooking, exercising, and traveling with his family.

Hannah Steed graduated from Georgia Southern’s Parker College of Business in 2012 with a BBA in Management Administration.

Currently, Hannah is the Plant Manager for the Alkegen N. Augusta, SC and Bethune, SC sites managing 160+ employees producing products for the Industrial Filtration market with high business growth potential.

Hannah is a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner (2022). She holds a Green Belt (2020) and Black Belt (2022) in Six Sigma Methodology.

Hannah has 11 years experience in Manufacturing holding roles in Plant Magementment and OPEX Leader at Alkegen and Change Management, Product and Process Improvement, Production, Quality and Project Management at Milliken & Co. She has extensive experience in Quality, Costing, New Product Development, Process Reliability, Focused Improvement Projects, Green Belt Education, and determining the best Capital Expense Projects for manufacturing sites.

Hannah has a passion for problem solving, designing new best practices and developing new products as well as the development of people through training, coaching and mentorship. Serving on the Young Alumni Board has expanded her mentorship to include Parker College of Business Scholars which she is very passionate about.

Her free time is spent with her husband, 2 kids, dogs and cats. Around the holidays you can find her painting personalized acrylic paintings for friends and family.

Ashley Treadwell is a graduate of Parker College of Business with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Logistics & Intermodal Transportation and Marketing. Since graduating in 2016, she has attained a diverse background of experience including Customer Service,  3PL Operations and Marketing.

Ashley began her career with Norfolk Southern in 2016 as a Management Trainee within the Operations and Service Support group. Since her start at Norfolk Southern, she has worked in many Customer Service and Logistics roles managing a range of commodities from chemicals to construction materials. She joined the commercial side of the marketing organization in 2022 where she currently works as a National Account Manager.

In her spare time, Ashley enjoys reading and traveling. 

After receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at Georgia Southern University, Hannah held positions within the Marketing, Sales, and Administration organizations at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, Georgia. In 2021 Hannah transitioned into the Pre-Owned Aircraft Sales facet of Business Aviation and in her current role as a Sales Engineer at JetHQ, she works with a global team that provides aircraft solutions of various models including Bombardier, Dassault, Gulfstream, and Textron aircraft. 

Within the Business Aviation industry, Hannah holds a pivotal role on the National Business Aviation Association Young Professionals (YoPro) Council as Co-Vice Chair of the Council and Co-Chair of the Marketing and Events working group, widely known for the popular ‘YoPro Virtual Social Hour’ that Hannah Co-Hosts on a quarterly basis. In this council role, she collaborates with emerging leaders to promote professional development, social engagement, and government advocacy that focus on the growing young professional community. Hannah was recently honored as a member of Georgia Southern University’s “40 Under 40” Class of 2023, recognizing her outstanding contributions to both the Business Aviation industry and her commitment to making a positive impact on her regional community.
