The Outdoor Archery Day Camp is designed for beginner and intermediate archers to experience the fun of all things outdoor archery. Archers will learn range safety, learn and improve on proper form, all while having fun outdoors. Our main focus will be archery events and competitions that traditionally occur outdoors. These events include: Field Archery, 3D Archery, Outdoor Target Archery, Bowhunting, and Bowfishing. They will do various outdoor activities that include: water balloons, building makeshift deer organs and shooting them, learning about water refraction and its impact on bowfishing, and more! Archers will have the opportunity to try compound and recurve bows. All equipment is provided, or they may bring their own bow.
This day camp will include an opportunity to practice bowfishing into water and play water games at the SSEC. A snack will be provided each session.
