This introductory course is designed to give new shooters the basic understanding of how to safely operate a semi-automatic rifle.  Emphasis will be placed on how to safely load, fire, unload, and hit a target at 25 meters.  Other topics discussed include proper grip, stance, aiming, trigger control and how to safely complete a clearance check of the rifle. Everything you need will be supplied in the course including the rifle, 10 rounds of .223, ear and eye protection, the only thing you need to bring is closed toed shoes. This course is not used in the membership approval process and does not stand in for the safety practical that Firearms 101 can stand in for.

Please wear closed toed shoes and high neck shirts. Hats with a brim are also recommended.
