The Sportsman Day Camp is a unique outdoorsmen-style camp that can include both firearms and archery experiences depending on the student’s age.
The morning archery sessions will focus on bowhunting and archers will have the opportunity to try compound and recurve bows. Each day will focus on a different sense and how those senses can be leveraged to ethically harvest game. All equipment is provided, or participants may bring their own bow.
The afternoon firearms session will focus on shotgun, air rifle, bolt action firearms and the ArmaLite Rifle Platform instruction. Students will learn how to apply the use of firearms to hunting scenarios in a safe way. All equipment and ammo will be provided.
Both sessions focus on safety and fun! The student to instructor ratio for the live firearms range time is 2:1.
The Sportsman Day Camp offers multiple camp options for your youth. Choose from the morning archery session 8:30am – 12pm (Archery) and/or 1:00-4:30pm (Firearms). This day camp will also include an opportunity to swim at the pool at the Recreation Activity Center. A snack will be provided each session. For those registered for both firearms and archery programs, a sack lunch is recommended for the break between programs.
