How do I change my Dining Plan or EagleXpress Package?

Log in to your my.GeorgiaSouthern.edu account and use the “Dining Plan Manager” link to change your Eagle Dining Plan or EagleXpress Package. You may also stop by Eagle Card Services, located in Dining Commons on the Statesboro Campus and Eagle Card Office on the Armstrong Campus, and speak with one of their representatives.

When can I change my Dining Plan or EagleXpress Package?

Dining Plans and EagleXpress packages may be changed before the first day that residence halls open for the semester/term. They typically become active for use on this date, enabling students moving into residence halls to dine in our Residential Dining facilities as soon as they are here. You may upgrade, reduce or cancel an EagleXpress package up to this date, but after this date you cannot cancel an EagleXpress package.

What are Dining Dollars?

Dining Dollars (D$) can be used across campuses at all EDS dining locations. Similar to EagleXpress, Dining Dollars allow you to make dollar-for-dollar purchases. Dining Dollars can be used at all EDS retail dining locations such as: Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Sushi with Gusto, Market Street Deli, and more! *Dining Dollars expire at the end of the semester or the term they were issued.

What is EagleXpress?

EagleXpress is a premier declining balance system instituted by Eagle Card Services. Your EagleXpress account is automatically linked to your Eagle Card when you receive it. Every Georgia Southern University student, faculty, and staff member has an EagleXpress account to which they can make deposits online, at Eagle Card Services located in Dining Commons, or by using the Express Station in Dining Commons. EagleXpress is accepted at all EDS dining locations on campus and you receive a 5% discount whenever you make a purchase. EagleXpress is also accepted at 70+ locations around the Statesboro area. What’s the difference between Dining Dollars and EagleXpress?

Dining Dollars are a bonus that you receive when purchasing an Eagle Dining Plan or EagleXpress Package. Dining Dollars cannot be reloaded, while you can make an EagleXpress deposit at any time. EagleXpress may be used at all EDS dining locations and you receive a 5% discount when you use EagleXpress. EagleXpress may also be used at 40+ locations around the Statesboro community.

Will my Dining Dollars expire?

Yes. Dining Dollars expire at the end of the semester/term that they were issued. If you purchased a Dining Plan for Spring, your Dining Dollars would expire at the end of the semester.

Will my EagleXpress funds expire?

No. EagleXpress never expires. As long as you are an active student, faculty, or staff member of Georgia Southern University, your EagleXpress will always be on your account. In the event that you leave the university, you may always request a refund of your remaining EagleXpress balance from Eagle Card Services. Call (912) 478-5311 for more information.

I don’t live in a residence hall. Can I purchase a Dining Plan or EagleXpress Package?

You sure can! All of our Dining Plans and EagleXpress Packages are available for any student, faculty, or staff member of Georgia Southern University to purchase. For more information, please call Eagle Card Services at (912) 478-5311.

How can I make an EagleXpress deposit?

EagleXpress deposits can be made in a variety of ways. (1) Going online or use your mobile device to access the eAccounts website (2) Stop by the Eagle Card Services located in Dining Commons or (3) use the self-service Express Station located in Dining Commons (SBORO) or the The Galley (ARM). You may also make a deposit with the cashier at any of our residential dining halls.

When do the Dining Plans or EagleXpress Packages start? End?

Dining Plans and EagleXpress Packages typically start on the first week of move-in for the residence halls at Georgia Southern University. In the fall and spring, it is typically the Monday before the Operation Move-In for residence halls. What is offered in the Residential Dining (Dining Commons, Lakeside Dining Commons and The Galley Dining Commons) facilities?

Each large-scale dining facility offers many options and a wide variety of choices. You can indulge in Asian cuisine, pizza by the slice, pasta dishes, home-style favorites, grilled burgers, chicken sandwiches, salad and fruit bar options, and much more.

What dining locations are open on the weekend?

Dining Commons (Statesboro) and The Galley (Armstrong) are the primary EDS facilities open on weekends during the Spring and Fall semesters. Other locations vary depending on season and event schedules. Check out our hours of operation for more information.
