Food Truck or Mobile Dining Vendor Process

Please be mindful when bringing food trucks to the Statesboro, Armstrong or Liberty campuses of Georgia Southern University. Eagle Dining is the exclusive on-campus dining provider of Georgia Southern University. Blue Tie Catering is the exclusive provider of catering services at Georgia Southern University.

Please follow the steps below:

Step One – Selecting a Vendor

Only on-campus departments may bring a food truck or mobile vendor onto campus at any time. Student organizations are not allowed to bring food trucks or mobile vendors to campus. Student organizations must have their event sponsored by an on-campus department, then that department must ensure that they are following the food truck process for approval.

Food truck or mobile vendors must follow the following rules:

Food Truck Vendor Rules

  • Vendor represents that it is licensed by Bulloch County, Chatham County, Liberty County, or any neighboring county of Georgia to prepare and sell food.
  • Vendor’s food truck shall be parked on a suitable hard surface as directed by the department requesting. Food trucks are not allowed to park in fire lanes, handicap parking spaces, or in any other location that will impede traffic flow, obstruct sight lines, or create unsafe conditions for pedestrians.
  • Food trucks may not have amplified sound or music emanating from the vehicle.
  • Vendor shall clean up the space before leaving location and must dispose of all waste in waste receptacles.
  • If Vendor provides seating or tables for its customers, the seating must be removed and the area cleaned up as required above.
  • Vendor may display signage that is painted or permanently affixed to the vehicle and one freestanding sandwich board no larger than 16 square feet.
  • Vendor must provide evidence of and shall comply with the insurance requirements below.
  • Please remember to contact Parking and Transportation (912-478-7275 or parking@georgiasouthern.edu) to ensure you have the proper vendor permit.

Step Two – Notifying Eagle Dining

Once a food truck provider is selected, please notify Eagle Dining by completing the following form:

  • Please review the Food Truck Location map (Statesboro | Armstrong) and ensure the location where you would like a food truck is currently an approved location.
  • Please adhere to the Georgia Department of Health – Mobile Food Permit Rules.
  • Each food vender needs to ensure they have the proper contract on file with the Office of Legal Affairs (ola@georgiasouthern.edu) before being on campus.
